Imagine that you have on ear plugs or ear buds…pause for a second and listen. Do you hear a melody or tune? What song is your life singing in this new season?
My husband, Mondre’ is a musician. I have learned a lot listening to him teach and lecture various students. I remember him saying that music simply put is “melody, harmony and rhythm.” We are able to detect certain songs based on these three elements. They form a noticeable pattern, as it were that makes them unique and distinct.
In some ways our lives are like music. There are certain patterns and sounds made by us that make each of us unique. If we pause for just a moment we may discover some of the melodies that we sing that are pleasing to God and us. Listen closely and we may take note of other tunes that do not resonate with God. Sometimes there may be places in our lives that lack resolution and circumstances that are not yet addressed or put to rest. Based on my personal experiences, I have found sometimes the song we hear relates to the season we’re in.
Now, if you were to upload a tune today… What song is your life singing?
